I was just reading a retelling of Poe’s “Tell Tale Heart” illustrated by my colleague, Hamed Emami . It is grotesquely illustrated in watercolor in a twisted style reminiscent of Ralph Steadman. You can purchase your own copy here.

Hellen, the deviant but sexy mascot for Skydive Arizona is back for the annual Skydive Arizona Halloween Carnivale poster. This year started with some race car themes but ended up with a Sons of Anarchy inspired design. The final was illustrated with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

This October marks the 10th year of Duke City Roller Derby. I had the honor of illustrating the poster for this event which pays homage to the poster art for the very first Duke City Roller Derby event. Come on out Saturday, October 10th to the Heights Community Center starting at 1:30pm. Dead Mans Curves will face Big House Brawlers at 2pm and Marionettes will face the Tucson Derby Brats at 4pm. I will be there selling souvenir posters and drawing caricatures.

In the process of designing the Bailey Devlin book covers, I developed several iterations of the cover before the final. Here are some of those roughs that I developed with my own illustration style.

Bailey Devlin is the heroine of the new “chick lit” series of books by USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Forster. I designed this series of books using some stock illustration elements to establish a consistent look across three books in a series. These covers were designed for ebook formats available at Amazon.com and SmashWords. Print versions of this series will also be available on Amazon.com via CreateSpace. This is the third installment of the series and there is some variation in the color from print to digital versions due to the limitation of the CMYK color space.

Here is an illustration I did for R&C Stagelines. They are a logistics company that works with the United States Postal Service and wanted to update their image. This piece was illustrated entirely in Adobe Illustrator.
